Two hungry guys with limited time, money, and only an office break room, come up with gourmet sandwiches.
What are you having for lunch?
What are you having for lunch? We're having sandwiches!
We are two active, healthy guys who work in an office and like to eat well. We don't like to eat out everyday - its not healthy, it takes too long, and it's too expensive. We like to shop once a week for what we need. We try to keep the cost per meal at around $5. We're typically limited to what we can buy at a local grocery. We take less than an hour for lunch. We're limited to resources and utensils found in our office break room.
Within these limitations we've been making gourmet sandwiches in our break room and getting lots of compliments. It's time to share with the world...

An office sandwich ...
Webster's defines a sandwich as ... uh, just kidding. Am I worried about a definition? Not really. The thing that I am concerned with is satisfying a hunger - a predictable hunger that occurs daily during my workday. I have turned to the sandwich to assuage this daily craving so that I am not a total jerk at work (I have "I'm irritable when I don't eat" syndrome). Initially, my goal was sustenance. That lasted all of one day (it might have been a plain and boring ham and cheese sandwich or some random TV/microwave dinner). What I really needed was the best meal Jason and I could come up with - with limited budget, time, resources, etc. It has consistently been an office sandwich, and we've been slowly perfecting the craft ... and answering this question: what can we make from the local grocer with a George Foreman grill, microwave, 2 knives and a cutting board???
